Artist Statement
Greetings,
My name is Marko, I'm a photographer based out of San Francisco, California. NoBlankSpaces is the place where I host all of my favorite landscape photographs and offer them in print form. All of my images are produced on medium format film and printed on high quality fine art paper. Each print is limited, signed, dated, numbered and authenticated.
What does my work represent?
Undoubtedly, if we are lucky, most of us live in a home, or work in a space with walls. Walls keep us protected and create shelter for us. Ironically they also keep us from interacting with nature and exposing us to the sun, and even more ironic is that they hold up art.
My art is there to create the urge to want to go out and feel the textures of life and see something that brings you into the presence of the natural world, which we are all so immensely connected to.
I was originally born in Bosnia and lived in Croatia for a party of my life. In the 1990s my family and I moved to Phoenix, AZ. So the desert has undoubtedly influenced my love for the landscape and the ever evolving textures of the Sonora and canyon lands.
In 2011, I moved to the Bay Area and began photographing the streets of San Francisco, and eventually sunk my self into the landscape of the Bay Area and the Pacific Coast Highway. The beauty of the Bay is endless and I hope to dive deeper into all of the smaller beautiful pockets it has to offer.
My prints are offered in a variety of sizes but if you are looking for a different finish, size, or frame, please reach out directly.
Sincerely,
Marko Knezevic
