I captured this image while strolling through the Calaveras forest in northern California. Undoubtedly the lonely but bloomed Dogwood caught my eye. There's always something empowering about seeing an individual flower blooming alone in its own space. The image was taken on 6x7 film and can be printed in various sizes and finishes. Marko Knezevic
Marko is a landscape photographer based out of San Francisco, CA. Born in ex-Yugoslavia, he immigrated to Phoenix, AZ, at the age of 7. Photographs have always held a special place in his heart because they were a way for him to connect to the past. Nowadays, he wanders the trails and landscapes of California, obsessing over the textures and colors that our world provides for us. His hope with the work he creates is to bring a sense of peace and calm to the viewer, and, hopefully, a sense of inspiration to go out into the wild and explore.
