I took this image while strolling along the Pacific Coast near Salt Point, an area peppered with surreal landscapes that are continuously shaped by the forever blowing sea breeze. This particular honeycombed beach stone caught my eYe as it resembles something an insect would carve out. And while the geology is breathtaking, the wildlife is constantly on the move with frequenting deer and blue heron on the hunt along the wetlands. If you get a chance I highly recommend this is as a quick pitstop if you're near Jenner or Fort Ross.
The image was taken on 6x7 film and is printed on fine art paper.

Marko is a landscape photographer based out of San Francisco, CA. Born in ex-Yugoslavia, he immigrated to Phoenix, AZ, at the age of 7. Photographs have always held a special place in his heart because they were a way for him to connect to the past. Nowadays, he wanders the trails and landscapes of California, obsessing over the textures and colors that our world provides for us. His hope with the work he creates is to bring a sense of peace and calm to the viewer, and, hopefully, a sense of inspiration to go out into the wild and explore.
